Introducing our expanded abrasives range

Here at TIMco, we are dedicated to keeping our customers happy and delivering products that meet the ever-expanding needs and demands of the modern tradesman.

As a result, we are continuously expanding our range of products from our humble beginnings of screws and nuts in 1972, to our latest range of more than 7,000 products. A huge range of products that sees us, once again, expanding our warehouse space at our base in Cheshire.

As part of our latest catalogue published last month, we’ve expanded our range of abrasive products to meet the high demands of the modern woodworking, decorating and metalworking industries.

The increased demands of power tools require abrasive products to withstand heat, dust build up and movement, whilst maintaining a professional finish with a multitude of applications.

To reflect this, the expanded TIMco ADDAX abrasives range includes a wide variety of abrasive rolls, sheets, pads, discs and belts.

Our range of sandpaper rolls come in a wide-varity of grit and in three colours, yellow, green and red, to reflect the thickness of the backing paper – lightweight, premium and heavy duty – suitable for different uses. The tear and crack-resistant backing paper has heat resistant resin adhesive and premium quality abrasive grit.

The comprehensive range totalling over 60 products, also contains steel wire wool in coarse, medium and fine grades used by woodworkers, metalworkers and craftsmen when cleaning metal and wood; the wool gives a perfect finish for painting and welding.

These new products fit perfectly with our existing range of wire brushes and wheels.

We’ve also updated our packaging with a new-look that has been specifically designed to provide clearer information, as well as highlight product features, benefits and applications.

We continue to build on our commitment of becoming a ‘one stop shop’ for builders’ merchants and our award accolades reflect how we’re growing from strength to strength.

In 2018 we won the title of ‘Best Distributor Brand’ at the coveted Builders Merchant Journal (BMJ) Awards and that year we were also named as ‘Brand of the year’ by the National Buying Group (NBG) This year, we won two awards from the NBG, ‘Decorating and hardware supplier of the year’ and ‘Most innovative supplier of the year’ and we were ranked at no. 154 in the 10th annual Sunday Times HSBC International Track 200 2019 league table.
