A national trade body is celebrating a supplier in Nantwich who goes the extra mile to support the building materials industry.

The Builders Merchants Federation (BMF), together with Builders’ Merchants News (BMN), have joined forces to identify the Top 100 Supplier Influencers across the sector and shine a light on their success.

Simon Midwood is Chairman at TIMCO, based in Nantwich,and was nominated after meeting key criteria including involvement, presence, charity and community work as well as commitment to the industry.

TIMCO, a leading supplier of essential construction products, based in Cheshire, reports an increase in turnover of 14% - to £49.7m for 2020, and is predicting a £60 million turnover for 2021. The rapid growth, which occurs in the run up to the company’s 50 years in business, has necessitated an expansion of TIMCO’s facilities in Nantwich and for the company to embark on a new recruitment drive. Both the Management and External Sales teams have been further strengthened this year, including seven new Regional Business Consultants bringing the total 20 as well as the appointment of a new Digital Platforms Manager and a dedicated Ironmongery Product Manager.

TIMco’s New Quality Control Facilities: What They Mean for Products & Customers The quality of our products and services is of upmost importance to us here at TIMco. Over the past 40 years, we have been building a reputation of providing the highest quality products at good value prices for our independent customers across the UK and Europe. In order to help facilitate effective quality controls, we have implemented local quality control checks in the Far East by opening an office in Taiwan. This office will guarantee that the quality of our products is checked and monitored throughout the manufacturing process, from raw material selection to ensuring that the product matches the details drawings from the individual product specifications. This helps to ensure that no low-quality products are dispatched from the Far East to the UK.
Newcomers to the Taurus Range This Summer Here at TIMco we’ve been hard at work on our 2018 catalogue which now has over 6,500 products. The catalogue features our Taurus Gate and Hardware Range, designed and manufactured to follow our high standards and you can of course expect to find included, TIMco’s quality fixings and fasteners.
