To comply with newly introduced UK legislation governing the delivery of age-restricted products, TIMCO’s delivery partners must carry out mandatory age verification at the point of delivery. This applies to all consignments containing regulated goods (such as bladed articles, a full list can be provided upon request) and must be completed before any such items can be handed over.
At delivery, the courier will request valid proof of age from whoever is receiving the goods. Deliveries cannot be completed without this verification, even in cases where the recipient may clearly appear to be over 25, as the updated legislation demands strict adherence.
Acceptable forms of ID include a current passport, a UK or EU photo driving licence (full or provisional). The courier will then request the last five digits of your passport or driving license. Please Note: You should never be asked to provide a copy or photo of your identification — only to present it for visual verification. The ID must confirm that the recipient meets the legal age requirement.
If the recipient cannot present valid ID or refuses verification, the courier will be unable to complete the delivery of age-restricted items.
